Kanturk Physiotherapy is proud to be a registered provider of the Irish Life Health Backup Programme, designed to keep you moving, prevent injuries, and support your recovery.

Whether you’re dealing with a specific issue or want to proactively maintain your health, our expert team is here to help.

Who is eligible?

To register for the Back Up programme, members of Irish Life Health are welcome to call 01 562 5150 where a case manager will assess your suitability for physiotherapy and discuss your options with you.

You can choose Kanturk Physiotherapy Clinic as the physiotherapy clinic that you then attend for your patient care.

How it works

The Irish Life Health Back Up programme is designed to support early intervention for acute neck and back pain so that an individual can benefit from expert care and advice to ensure a speedy recovery and help reduce the risk of progression or recurrence of the current pain/symptoms.

The Back Up programme recognises the importance of full rehabilitation following an episode of spinal pain.

The scheme allows for up to 6 physiotherapy treatment sessions from initial assessment including physiotherapy/manual therapy for pain relief through to rehabilitation and strengthening programmes.

Your physiotherapist then provides Irish Life Health with a discharge summary charting your progress.

What is the cost?

Following a phone triage with a case manager, referral to physiotherapy will include a once-off fee of €65 paid by the patient, who can then avail of up to 6 sessions.
